BEFC Rates, Fees, and Costs

BEFC has several different membership type classifications as defined in the By-Laws.  Those members with flying privileges pay the same monthly dues rate listed below. Detailed terms and conditions of all member financial obligations are all specified in the Club Operating Rules, including any penalties or assessments.

Rates are adjusted by the club’s Board of Trustees as needed.

$25 – Application fee (WAIVED)

• The member application fee is now being waived as we have gone paperless.
• Please use the CONTACT US menu item for JOINING BEFC to initiate the process to join BEFC.

Member Deposit

• $750 Security Deposit for all General, Associate, & Participating member types (those with flying privileges)
• Deposit is refundable (upon termination) based on:
  1. Member in good standing & account paid in full.
  2. Member has completed one year active with the club, or Student pilot member who completes one year active with the club after obtaining their private pilot’s license
  3. Club financial state (refund timing may depend on cash flow or on another member joining).

Initiation Fee

• $250 for new members with at least an existing FAA Private Pilot certificate.

Aircraft Rates (DRY Rate per Tach Hour) (effective 4/15/2024)

• $55/HR  — C172 (N8716U)
• $55/HR  — P28A (N63PL)

Monthly Dues (effective 6/1/2022)

• Currently $100/month  – General, Associate, & Participating Member Types
• Member on LOA $10/month
• Social members $25/year

RESERVATION CHARGES

• No reservation fee required for any flight.
• There is no minimum daily use charge for a flight or a overnight trip.
