1965 Cessna 172F Skyhawk (N8716U)
The 1965 Cessna 172 is a renowned single-engine aircraft known for its reliability and versatility. Powered by a Continental O-300D engine, it offers straightforward cockpit controls and predictable handling. Some of the upgrades performed on our Cessna are:
- All the headset jacks were rewired with stereo and the Garmin audio panel supports Bluetooth and minijack inputs for audio/music. The panel also connects to your phone via Bluetooth allowing calls to ATC for clearances via the pilot headset or listening to music or other audio.
- The Garmin GTX345R transponder is remote mounted and controled via the Garmin 625 GPS interface. The transponder is Bluetooth equipped for linking to a tablet or phone with EFB software installed. This provides precision GPS location as well as FIS-B weather and ADS-B traffic reports & advisories. Additionally, it provides AHRS situational awareness & parametric data for generating an EFIS display.
- The analog tachometer has been replaced with an electronic tachometer and hour meter.
