The 1965 Cessna 172 is a renowned single-engine aircraft known for its reliability and versatility. With a high-wing design and spacious cabin, it’s favored for flight training and personal transportation. Powered by a Continental O-300D engine, it offers straightforward cockpit controls and predictable handling. Its low operating costs and fuel efficiency make it a popular choice for pilots of all levels.

Some of the upgrades performed on our Cessna are:

  • All the headset jacks were rewired with stereo and the Garmin audio panel supports Bluetooth and minijack inputs for audio/music. The panel also connects to your phone via Bluetooth allowing calls to ATC for clearances via the pilot headset or listening to music or other audio.
  • The Garmin GTX345R transponder is remote mounted and controled via the Garmin 625 GPS interface.  The transponder is Bluetooth equipped for linking to a tablet or phone with EFB software installed.  This provides precision GPS location as well as FIS-B weather and ADS-B traffic reports & advisories. Additionally, it provides AHRS situational awareness & parametric data for generating an EFIS display.
  • The analog tachometer has been replaced with an electronic tachometer and hour meter.
